Family fun day in Bergenfield at Veterans Memorial Park June 11,2023
FAMILY FUN DAY AT THE PARK imageFAMILY FUN DAY AT THE PARK image
Memorial Day is a celebration honoring the hundreds of thousands of American men and women who have sacrificed their lives defending our freedoms and the ideals embedded in the Declaration of Independence and our United States Constitution. We must never forget that liberty comes with a high cost.
Over years, the Lions Club has recognized their sacrifice with floats commemorating all who have made the supreme sacrifice, the branches of service, Gold Star Families, and some specific events in military history.
This year, the Lions have dedicated their float the over 50,000 service men and women who lost their lives during the Vietnam War. We will never forget their sacrifice.

Over 400 volunteers are participating in the attempt • Aimed at promoting eye health and creating awareness of eradicating preventable blindness. • All the eyeglasses used in the attempt will be processed and distributed to the needy around the world.
Clothing Drive is a fundraiser Bergenfield Lions Club started to raise funds for our Sight projects.

This year we continued the project and had extra help from the North Warren Leo Club. They delivered two pallets of coats and clothing from one of their projects. Robert Brandt, President of the North Warren Lions Club and Michael Licata, the Leo Advisor said coats were for people in need. Because of the Covid environment, they wanted only new items.

We told them of our drive and they gave them to us with a proviso that any proceeds would go to Sight Projects. We appreciate the generous donation of the coats by the North Warren Leo Club.
